Spring is gently arriving on the Côte Sauvage, and with it, the season's first great sessions are making a comeback.
After a rather quiet start to the year for waves, March brought smiles back to surfers' faces. Conditions were more consistent, the sandbanks were well-positioned, and the atmosphere on the beach remained calm before the peak season arrives.
Getting back into the water gently, rediscovering the sensations after winter and gently launching this new season at Loulou Surf School.
The first waves of spring are here
In recent weeks, the ocean has finally found its good rhythm again.
After a rather mediocre start to the year in terms of waves, March was particularly prolific, with quality surfing for about 3 to 4 days a week.
The luckiest have already been able to enjoy some lovely conditions: clean waves, well-formed sandbanks, and that still-peaceful spring atmosphere on the beach.
It's often one of the best times to get back into it. The days are getting longer, the temperatures are slowly rising, and the desire to return to the water comes naturally.
Whether for a gentle return, a first session or simply to rediscover the joy of surfing, the season is beginning to take shape at La Palmyre.
Back to the clean beach operation
A big thank you to all those who came to participate in the clean beach operation at Phare de la Coubre lighthouse.
A great many of you have responded, and it's truly pleasing to see so much motivation to look after our coastline.
These moments are important for preserving our playground, but also for getting together before the season kicks off. Enthusiasts, families, young surfers, beach regulars, and lovers of the Côte Sauvage: everyone has played their part.
Another lovely moment shared, in a great atmosphere.
The first slots are open
That's it, the season has begun.
The first surf lessons have been open since 4 April, with several formulas available to start, progress, or discover surfing in La Palmyre.
On the agenda:
- taster course ;
- Children's and teenagers' activity holidays ;
- refresher sessions ;
- Equipment rental.
The first places are already available for the spring break and the weekends.
This is the perfect time to book a session, organise a training course or simply plan a surf trip to the Côte Sauvage.
