Rules of procedure

Article 1: Registration

All registrations for the surf school must be made using the registration form, which must be duly completed by the parents or legal guardian in the case of a minor, or by the interested party in the case of an adult. A deposit of 50% is required.

Article 2: Cancellation of courses

Group lessons can only take place with a minimum of 3 students. If there are fewer than three participants, the course will be treated as an individual lesson and charged at a different rate. In the event of bad weather conditions (lack of waves, rough seas, storms or pollution), lessons that cannot take place as part of the package will be : - replaced by alternative activities: bodysurfing, bodyboarding, stand-up paddling, rowing, beach games, stretching and warm-ups specific to surfing, theory lessons (video analysis, weather, biomechanics, etc.) - or postponed to a later date Lessons not carried out because of the customer will not be reimbursed. It will be possible to postpone only one lesson in the event of an impediment or withdrawal; beyond this, lessons will not be postponed or reimbursed. A course that has been started and interrupted cannot be refunded. Lessons cancelled due to thunderstorms will not be refunded.

Article 3: Instructors' liability

Students will be looked after by the instructor(s) as soon as their lessons start. They will return to the responsibility of their parents or legal guardians at the end of their lessons. Before leaving their children at the surf school, parents must make sure that the planned service is actually taking place. The school's civil liability with regard to its students ceases outside lesson hours. In the case of an itinerant surfing course, the pupil remains under the responsibility of the instructor during the outward and return journeys. Personal belongings left in the lorry or on the beach are the responsibility of their owner.

Article 4: Insurance

Loulou, l'école de la nouvelle vague and its instructors certify that they have taken out civil liability insurance covering the risks associated with its activity with MAAF Assurance. All persons enrolled at the surf school will be covered during lesson hours by the instructor's professional insurance in the event that the instructor's liability is called into question. If the instructor's liability is not in question, there is no individual accident cover. All these terms and conditions are described in the contract provided by the school. The school is in no way responsible for any moral prejudice or accidental or deliberate damage caused by third parties during its activities. Our commitment is limited to the services offered. The surf school would like to draw the member's attention to the importance of taking out a supplementary personal insurance policy with the insurer of their choice, covering bodily injury to which they may be exposed as a result of practising the sport, and which provides greater cover than the MAAF policy.

Article 5: Commitment of the structure

As part of the package chosen, the school and its instructors undertake to comply with standards in terms of quality of welcome, teaching, supervision and safety. The instructors accept no responsibility for any failure to comply with their safety instructions. The necessary equipment (wetsuits, boards, etc.) will be provided to members during lesson times.

Article 6: Commitment of members

The member undertakes to meet the following requirements for the practice of water sports, i.e. to be able to swim 25m and put their head under water. By enrolling at the surf school, minors and their parents accept the risks associated with surfing under normal conditions. Any medical treatment or health problem must be described to the instructor before the session. Participants are responsible for the equipment entrusted to them (boards, paddles, wetsuits, leashes, lycras, etc.) during lesson and hire times. In the event of loss, theft or damage, the equipment will, depending on the case, be repaired at the trainee's expense or reimbursed at purchase value.

Article 7: Transporting trainees during surfing trips

The school and its instructors undertake to ensure that trainees are transported in compliance with the regulations in force (drivers holding the necessary licence, vehicle insurance, maximum number of passengers, clean vehicle in good condition).

Article 8: Image rights

Any enrolment in one of our activities authorises the surf school to use films and photos of your image, or the image of your children, for advertising purposes, for an unlimited period and without financial compensation unless you request otherwise.

Article 9: Annex to these internal regulations

The school and its instructors reserve the right to provide trainees with any additional documents relating to its operation, in particular specifying the types of services offered, their duration, their distribution over the week, their cost, etc.
